About Marilyn Shaw

As a best-selling author, founder, and national mental health educator, Marilyn Shaw uses her captivating voice to empower others to renew, restore, and redefine their lives. She founded Faitherapy, an organization that aims to bridge the gap between faith and mental wellness for women, after experiencing a mental breakdown. Marilyn facilitates critical conversations to break down barriers and challenge stigmas about mental health as the host of the Faitherapy Podcast. As a National Mental Health First Aid Educator, Marilyn teaches evidence-based strategies to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental health or substance use challenges through the National Council of National Council for Mental Wellbeing. Marilyn will soon complete her master’s in Clinical Counseling at Emporia State University, becoming a psychotherapist. Marilyn is a proud alumnus of St. Petersburg College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
