It's time to take off the cape! Dr. Louisana Louis shared in today's episode how she navigated being at the top of her career while her daughter was battling cancer. While her faith was tested and her mental health exhausted, Dr. Louis learned to take off the cape and care for herself. Dr. Louisana Louis has practiced in the health industry for over 20 years. Currently holds a doctorate as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) and psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), Dr. Louis continues to serve the mental health community as the Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Prestige Health and Wellness. As an ANCC board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Louis strives to bring humanity back to mental wellness. Her experience includes inpatient and outpatient practices serving children, adolescents, and adults who present across the spectrum of mental health needs. Dr. Louis is the Dean of St. Petersburg College (SPC) of Nursing. SPC is a multi-campus state college located in Pinellas County, Florida. She is a determined, passionate, futuristic, and innovative change agent. A thoughtful leader that inspires and motivates, Dr. Louisconsiders herself an advocate for change and a visionary who consistently strives for excellence. She has been featured on Channel 8 News, ABC Action News, Baynews 9, Fox 13, St. Petersburg College Winter Magazine, and the Tampa Bay Business & Wealth February 2020 edition. She was recently honored as one of the Top 100 Women Leaders of Tampa for 2022.
